For 20 years, Tina Shaefer and Kenny Gorka have partnered together to bring songwriters together in NYC. Now they are all over the country hosting showcases for artists of all genre's and offering support and resources too.

I have been fortunate enough to have shared my songs at the monthly NYC Showcases at the legendary venue, The Bitter End for the past 3 years. I was also a runner up a few years ago in their annual songwriting contest. Please check out their site and if you are a songwriter, you better become a member if you want your voice to be heard.

My Life In Poop - Confessions of stay home dad

From July 1, 2009 - March 25, 2010, I was out of full time work and decided to stay home and take care of my 2 boys. IT was a radically, life changing experience..... in those months I truly lived for them and I think it was something I needed to go through to appreciate how far I've come on my own personal journey. There is music and work, friends, and family, but nothing comes close to the joy of having the love of my amazing wife and raising our two boys, Danny and Robby, together.

I'm a lucky man - and I don't take it for granted. I hope someday, if nothing else, my music will be an example that you can have balance in your life - passion and work, love and freedom. Enjoy the blog, it was short lived but at least something was captured.
